So they are found in hot and humid climates. It is most common in people who wear tight shoes, sweaty socks, and public showers and baths.

Moccasin:

Moccasin begins with irritation, dryness, itching, or scaly skin. This infection involves your entire sole and spread on the sides of your feet and makes your skin thickens.

Vesicular:

It is a very rare kind of athlete’s foot that begins with an outbreak of fluid-filled blisters on the underside of your foot. They can also appear between your toes, on your heel, and on top of your foot.

Diagnosis:

For diagnosing itchy, scaly skin, your doctor scrapes off a little skin and observes it under the microscope.

Treatment:

Your doctor prescribed you anti-fungal medicines to put on your skin, and you can take this medicine orally. Keep your feet clean and dry to prevent the spread of infection.

Ringworm:

Ringworm is a type of fungal infection known as tinea corporis. It appears a ring-shaped rash with a winding, worm-like edge.

Symptoms:

The symptoms of ringworm are the following:

  • Red, circular, and flat sore
  • Scaly skin
  • Patches and red rings appear

Contagious or Not?

Ringworm is contagious because it spread through contact with infected people, heat, and humidity.

Diagnosis:

It can diagnose based on its symptoms. The doctor takes samples of infected areas and observes them under the microscope.

Treatment:

The treatment of ringworm is usually anti-fungal medicines. Doctors prescribe you over-the-counter medication. These are the following:

  • Miconazole
  • Clotrimazole
  • Terbinafine

In severe cases, doctors may prescribe oral medicines.

Jock Itch

Jock itch is a type of fungal infection that causes due to a type of fungus “tinea.” It is mostly grown in moist and warm areas like the buttocks, genitals, and inner tights. Infections mostly occur in the summer season.
It is a red itchy rash that appears in a ring shape.

Symptoms:

The symptoms of the jock itch are the following:

  • Peeling, cracking, and flaking skin
  • Itching, burning and chafing on thighs
  • Red circular, itchy rash
  • Redness on the thigh

Diagnosis:

It diagnoses according to its presence on the body where it is on the body.

Treatment:

The doctor prescribed you over-the-counter anti-fungal medicines and creams. You should follow these conditions:

  • Wash and dry the affected area with a clean towel.
  • Change the clothes daily.

Yeast Infections:

These infections are called cutaneous candidiasis. Candida is a type of fungus that causes these infections. These infections are not contagious.
These infections are common in moist, creased, and warm areas of the body and mostly happen in obese and diabetic patients. It causes diaper rash in children.

Symptoms of Yeast Infections:

The symptoms of yeast infections are the following:

  • Rash
  • Burning
  • Itching
  • Pimple-like bumps
  • Patches that ooze clear fluid

In Nail Beds:

  • Swelling
  • Pain
  • Pus
  • White and yellow nail separates from the nail bed

In Mouth:

  • White patch on tongue and inside cheekS
  • Pain

Vaginal Yeast Infection:

  • White and yellow discharge
  • Burning
  • Itching
  • Redness in the external area

Diagnosis:

Your doctor does a physical exam and asks for your medical history. Take the sample and observe it under the microscope.

Treatment:

The treatment of this infection depends on the type of the infection. Medicated creams are used for vaginal infections. Medicated mouth wash used for mouth infections. If you have a weak immunity system, then you should take anti-yeast medications orally.
